INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
At Citrus College we believe the most important thing for instrumental
musicians on any career path is to develop their instrumental skill
and musicianship. To this end we provide superior individual instruction
and the highest quality and most challenging ensemble experiences.
You can participate in four categories of ensembles:
– Symphonic/chamber
ensembles, such as the Sierra Wind Symphony and the EKKO Percussion
Group, provide for exploration and exposure to the most sophisticated
concert, film, and contemporary instrumental literature.
– Jazz ensembles,
such as the Blue Note Swing Orchestra, perform the most challenging
level jazz music and regularly enjoy the unique opportunity to explore
performance touring on the road.
– The Pop/Rock ensembles,
such as Night Shift, give you professional level experience performing
contemporary stage show and club engagements.
– The Pop/Latin
ensembles, such as Orquesta Sazón, provide opportunities
to experience the performance of Spanish-speaking popular music
while developing established values of musical professionalism.
