DYANE DUFFY
Dyane Duffy holds an MFA in Painting from Claremont Graduate
University and a BA in Art from Chico state University.
Duffy also studied at the Accademia de Bella Arti in Florence,
Italy. Duffy was inspired to teach by her Beginning
Drawing instructor while attending community college at the
College of Marin, near her home town of Mill Valley, CA.
Teaching for the wide variety of students that come
to the community college is something that Duffy loves.
She inspires conceptual thought in students’ artwork
while teaching both new and traditional techniques in drawing
and printing. Duffy’s current artwork
investigates reality television and the roles that media and
celebrity play in our world. She works in acrylic and
oil paint, installation and printmaking. Her work has
been shown in both group and solo exhibitions in the Los Angeles
area, including Peter Blake Gallery in Laguna Beach, and The
Brewery Art Project in LA. Duffy’s latest project
was to actually break through to the other side of reality
television as she used her “bad” living room design
creations to land a room make-over on a new HGTV show, “Takeover
My Makeover” which will air in May 2006. Duffy
is also the Liquitex Paint Educational Advisor for the Southern
California area, which has allowed her travel to London, New
York and Washington DC. There, she toured museum conservation
laboratories and received further training with acrylic and
oil paint. Duffy teaches Painting, Intermediate Drawing
and Beginning Drawing at Citrus. She is also the Faculty
Advisor of the Artists’ Club. |

ELANIE MOORE
Moore recently teaches life drawing, painting, design and
illustration classes at Citrus College in Glendora, California.
Her Art Students learn to ““read””
the art of yesterday’s and today’s masters. They
learn to be perpetual students as they listen to their own
art and its spirit. Most importantly they learn to balance
the intricate relationship of the creative art spirit with
the demands of solid reality.
Moore holds three degrees in Art and Painting, one, a BFA
from the University of New Mexico and another, along with
an MFA from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California.
Elanie Moore has shown worldwide in England, France, Mexico
and Panama. In the U.S. she has shown at L.A. Artcore
and DADA, Los Angeles; the Museum of Man, Balboa Park, San
Diego; Northern Arizona University and the Hidden Beauty Gallery,
Flagstaff Arizona; The Edward Dean and Riverside Art Museums,
California, as well as at various colleges around the state.
Moore’s Fine Art paintings are monumental blends of
acrylic and mixed media, clearly influenced by the concepts
and symbolism found in prehistoric cave paintings and rock
engravings. Her dedication to documenting aboriginal
rock art has placed her at the forefront of international
rock art research. |
